Creative Director
New York
Agency
$180-215k
Permanent
This is a consumer branding and packaging consultancy - the people behind brands you'll recognise from the supermarket shelf - looking for a brand-first Creative Director to lead work that reaches well beyond packaging.
It sits inside one of the largest branding networks in the world, which means you'd collaborate with sister consultancies on shared clients and work with scale and brief types a standalone studio of this size couldn't offer. The structure is deliberately fluid: no fixed account, no inherited team. You build bespoke project groups around the work in front of you. The brief for this hire is unusually candid - the firm wants someone to grow a practice, not service a roster.
The Role
You'll lead creative strategy and direction across brand identity and packaging, working as a designer who understands how identity carries across every touchpoint. You'll direct and develop creative teams while staying hands-on with the work yourself, and you’ll present and defend thinking to clients, building the relationships that keep them.
Every Creative Director here carries at least one significant client with real organic growth potential, and you'll contribute to pitches and credentials alongside account leadership. You'll mentor direct reports and own workflow, budgets and delivery.
The Package
$180,000 - $215,000
Hybrid working: three days in the studio
Medical, dental and vision coverage
Family-forming benefits, paid parental and medical leave
HSA, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Program
STD/LTD, Life/AD&D, commuter benefits, Employee Assistance Program
The Person
You have at least ten years in brand design and five-plus leading people, most likely at a system-led brand studio or consultancy. Your portfolio spans global consumer brands, and you think broadly about identity rather than packaging alone, but you're drawn to CPG, food and beverage.
You carry a business lens: comfortable briefing strong work efficiently, growing a client, and, crucially, you're brand-first and packaging-capable, not packaging-only.
