This branding agency has spent years building sophisticated digital capabilities alongside their brand work, and now they’re rebuilding their digital team from scratch. They operate a profit share scheme and recently bumped everyone's salaries by 5% after a strong final quarter.

The Role
You'll lead digital design across client projects, working from the strategy stage through delivery to create websites and digital products that match the creative standards of their brand work. This means building design systems and component libraries, establishing motion design capabilities, and ensuring digital expressions amplify brand strategy rather than just execute it.

You'll shape how digital integrates with brand and strategy teams from the earliest project stages. The agency brings digital creatives into strategy sessions specifically so they can influence user personas and experience architecture before concepts solidify. You'll mentor a team you build yourself, establishing the creative culture and technical standards that elevate their digital offering.

This role exists because most of their clients' audiences encounter the brand first through digital. You'll be accountable for ensuring those touchpoints are expressive, strategically sound, and technically rigorous - not just functional delivery.

£70,000 - £80,000

The Person
A Digital Design Director with 8 - 12 years' experience at a branding-conscious agency or consultancy. You've built design systems and worked alongside digital product teams who design and develop in parallel. 

You understand motion design principles and can create animated assets that bring digital work to life. Most importantly, you're frustrated with siloed digital work and want to influence projects from strategy stages onwards, not just execute pre-determined concepts.
