This is a hands-on Freelance Creative Director seat at a luxury industry-focused agency - the perfect fit for someone more than happy leading an established creative team while managing client relationships and driving pitches and presentations.

This is a maternity cover position, starting mid-November until March, so we're looking for someone  US-based and able to work regularly from the NYC studio, collaborating closely with the wider team throughout the cover period.

The Role
You'll take the lead on creative across major CPG accounts, develop concepts, pitches and presentations and provide creative direction, mentoring and day-to-day team leadership to those around you.

The role is hands-on, so you're comfortable working closely with clients and senior stakeholders, confident in your ability to present ideas, rationale and work, driving creative conversations forward and building trusted relationships along the way.

$1,500 - $1,700 per day

The Person
We’re looking for an experienced Freelance Creative Director with strong agency experience who can step into an established leadership role and quickly take ownership of the creative output. You’ll need to be comfortable working independently, making decisions, setting the creative direction and providing clear, considered guidance to the team.

A strong background in CPG and mass-market branding and packaging is essential, with relevant experience across beauty and personal care, oral care, and food - particularly confectionery. You’ll understand the demands of working with large consumer brands and be able to balance ambitious creative thinking with commercially effective, well-crafted work.
